What To Expect...

We understand that looking for a job can be stressful, and jumping through hoops at staffing agencies doesn’t make it any easier; here is some helpful information about how we work and what to expect.

Sign me up! But how?

Although there are more creative ways to get your resume to us, we ask that email us at resume@actionemployment.net

We love knowing which position you are most interested in; however, we will review your resume for ALL our positions; no need to send more than one resume.

We receive quite a few resumes each day, we ask that you give us time to review your resume – if we find your skills match any of the positions that we have available, we will give you a call to schedule an interview.

And then?

Treat an interview with us just as you would treat an interview with ANY company. We use your level of professionalism, customer service, promptness, and personality to determine which of our positions are the best match for you. 

When you come we ask that you bring with you a copy of your resume; there are two purposes.  First, we won’t lie, it’s an easy way to determine how well easy instructions are followed and second, we like to see your most recent, updated resume, as it may be different than the one you emailed.

We also ask that you bring 2 pieces of identification.  Emergency Temporary, Temporary and Temp-To-Hire employees are technically employees of Action Employment and working at a different location.  Legal documentation and tax forms can be completed during your first interview to save time if we find you a job that wants you to start right away.  These are in no way REQUIRED before we find you a job; however, they are kept secure and will save everyone a lot of time!

When you meet with one of our Staffing Managers we may have you complete some computer testing; however, if you have testing from another agency or if the position we feel that you are the best fit for doesn’t require testing, we won’t bother. Overall your time here should be between an hour to an hour and a half.

Then I get a job?

It is in our best interest to find you a job – when you find a job, we get paid; however, we unfortunately cannot guarantee a job for every person who interviews here with us.

Please understand that we cannot accept or make check-in calls weekly.  We are considering you for every position we have available unless we tell you otherwise – if you see a job you think is perfect feel free to email your Staffing Manager, we will be happy to give you an update on that job and our search for you.

If you ask to be an Emergency Temporary employee we will call you on short notice for positions.  It is ok to turn these down; however, if we call you and you don’t answer, we will continue to call other candidates, whoever answers first will get the job.  We will from then on call those people who answer their phones first for all other jobs.
